Bread Loaf 2017!

Last year, as a waiter-scholar at Bread Loaf, I met some of my now-favorite people and writers on the planet, and it was these life-changing relationships that prodded me to return this year, despite some anxiety and misgivings (See this terrific "Report from the Field" written by my fellow waiter-scholar Jean Ho). This year, serving as the editor of The Crumb (the daily newspaper), was a different experience in many ways, but it was a continuation—as I'd hoped it would be—of meeting folks I want in my life forever. Too many, truly, to list. I'm still reeling.

I may be back in Seattle now, but part of me is still on the Treman porch, drinking a G+T out of a crazy straw, in awe of the surrounding geniuses.
