MFA Graduation

It's true—for the first time in 20 years, I am not affiliated with any educational institution.

The MFA graduation reading on Thursday was amazing and bittersweet. Family flew up all the way from Birmingham, Alabama, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to be there. We drank wine. We read poems. We gave lots of hugs. I'm so grateful for these last two years where I basically got to live my ideal life, reading, writing, and discussing great literature with the smartest, kindest cohort imaginable. So glad we're all staying in Seattle so we can continue on as if nothing has really changed.

Onward!
